Refurbishments

Major internal refurbishments are currently underway in the interior stairwells. HCLA is delighted this is happening as it hasn’t been done for 23 years. The work is estimated to be complete in late March.

• All flat doors have been fitted with fire proof strips and closers – if yours haven’t been done yet, please contact the contractors on site.
• As of January 31st plastering of entrances 1 to 5 had been completed
• Plastering for entrances 6, 7 and 8 will be complete by mid February
• The colours chosen by the interior designers will be applied to the walls and woodwork in entrance 1 in the first week in February and will roll on to the other entrances in the coming weeks.
• All flat doors will be removed and varnished and fitted with new letterboxes and door numbers in brass.
• After all the painting is done, carpets will be laid – starting with entrance 1 through to 8.
